During the second day of my Genting experience, my family decided to go to the Indoor Escape Theme Park. I was really excited. I loved theme parks. They were so much fun. The rides were very enjoyable and entertaining. We got ready and left the hotel room quickly.
When we reached there. My father queued up to purchase the tickets. I was impatient as the queue was very long. After what seemed like an hour, we finally managed to purchase our tickets. We wasted no time and went to the rides quickly. Fortunate for us, the queues for the rides were not long and we could ride the rides in about five minutes of waiting. The first ride we went to was the bumper cars. My whole family went there. We had so much fun bumping each other. Possibly because you would not be allowed to do this anywhere. We did not need to avoid each other. That would defeat the meaning of bumper cars. We had so much fun and soon the ride ended.
Then, we decided to go for the roller coaster ride. Since it was quite scary, my sister and mother decided not to go. My father, my brother and I decided to ride it. Sadly, the queue was quite long and we had to wait quite a long time.
After some time, we were finally riding the roller coaster. It was full of suspense and random motions. It was scary, but i enjoyed it very much. The ride was over before we knew it. I wanted to ride again but the queue was too long and we decided to move on.
Next, we rode the ferris wheel. From there we were able to see the whole Indoor Theme Park. The views were amazing and unforgettable. It was after all the World's first Indoor Theme Park. After five minutes of witnessing majestic views, the ride was over.
The next few rides included more roller coasters, ferris wheels, bumper cars, scary rides and haunted mansions. It was a blast. We had so much fun. However, we got tired by night and we decided to get back to the hotel to sleep for the night. "Another nice day! I hope tommorow would be better!" I thought to myself as I hugged my bolster and closed my eye...

Hi! I had been in Genting during the Chinese New Year holidays. Over there, I stayed at the New World's Hotel. It was a big place and there was many things to do there. There was indoor and outdoor theme park. There were many facilities there too, including bowling, archery, casinos, Snow World and many other attrations. I want to share what I and my family were doing there.
On our first day, my family decided to tour around the indoor facilities. We did our shopping there. The expenses were low as the items were cheap. After our shopping, my father decided he wanted to go to the casino for awhile. He left us at a gaming station. It was really fun. I used the computer to play Dota while my sister and brother played the Xbox 360 and WII. There were many fun games to be played and we had a lot of fun there. The games included, Dota, Soccer, Tennis, Halo 3 and many more action-packed games. The games there could be played by adults and children of all ages. Even my mother had a lot of fun there.
Since we were having too much fun, time passed too quickly and my father came back. We then decided to have our dinner. We ate at Macdonald's. The food there was similar to Singapore and we enjoyed it as much. After that, we decided to go back to the hotel to rest. The day had been a long one and we decided that a rest was good.
After resting, we went down to look around. My sister was not feeling well and so she had to stay behind at the hotel room to rest. I hoped that no one else would get sick so that we would be able to enjoy as one whole family. We decided to go to the shopping mall to shop more. My family really enjoyed shopping. After shopping, we were very tired. It was already approaching midnight. My father went to the casino and we went to the hotel to sleep. We had a good night's sleep to prepare for the next day.

It was my birthday yesterday! I had a very nice celebration. I invited many friends over. I decided that it was a good idea to head over to The Cage to play soccer to celebrate and I did just that. When we were at The Cage, I realised that i had forgotten to bring my soccer ball. I panicked. How were we going to play soccer without a soccer ball? However, i was very lucky and fortunate that I could borrow a ball from The Cage for free. We played as soon as we got the ball. Sadly, we had only a few people and we grew tired very easily.
Fortunately, some other friends arrived to play with us. Since there was more people, it was less tiring for everyone. We played well as teams and scored many brilliant goals. Soon, our two hours were up and we had to leave. We then decided to go to the nearby KFC to have lunch. There, free drink refills were available. We had a very enjoyable lunch before we headed to my house.
At my house, we played many games like Fifa 09 and Dota. We had nice refreshments and great snacks. It was a lovely day to spend with my friends, I thought to myself. We chatted as we played and got to know more about each other. We used the computer to do our work and play our games at the same time. We listened to music too. We watched entertaining movies like Scary Movie 3, IP man and even the Harry Potter series. Time passed quickly and before we knew it, it was already getting late. My mother odered pizza for us! It arrived in an hour's time, I truly enjoyed the meal. I always loved eating pizza and so do my friends! Sadly after dinner, my friends had to go home.
All my friends soon left and I was alone. It was an unforgettable experience, I thought to myself. I was sad they had to leave, but there was school next day and they had to have a nice sleep before school resumed. I, too, had to have a nice sleep for the next day. As I laid on my bed, I secretly wished that I could have as many birthday parties as I wanted.

Hi! I have been in Malaysia for the past few days. My father had decided to drive there and we did just that. The journey there took about four hours. By the time we reached our hotel we were dead exhausted. We decided to take an hour's break before we went around the place.
After our break, we went on a trishaw ride around Malacca's heritage. The sights seen were beautiful and we really experienced a sense of unity in the Malaysians. After that, we went to a famous chicken rice ball restaurant. They served rice in the forms of balls. It was very cute and the chicken was very tasty. We enjoyed the meal a lot. With full stomachs, we went to the shopping malls to shop. There were many attractive items that were up for sale since it was the Chinese New Year. While my mother shopped for her clothes and accesories, I shopped for video games and DVDs. We were delighted by the cheap prices and we bought many things. Before we knew it, it was getting late. We decided to head back to the hotel to rest before we caught the fireworks that would be showcased later in the night.
After having a good rest, we went out early to have a nice spot to catch the fireworks. We settled down and ate our snacks. The fireworks came shortly. It was fantastic. It was much more nicer than Singapore's fireworks. We relaxed and enjoyed the show very much. The fireworks lasted for fifteen minutes before it ended. We wanted it to last much longer! It was getting very dark and my parents thought that it would be a good time to rest for the night. We got back to our hotel and had a good night sleep before the next day. "What a nice day." I thought to myself as I laid on my bed to sleep. I felt that it was indeed a very nice day.

My Grandma
Hi! I was in America for a month during the school holidays. I would love to share my experiences in America, regardless of the ups and downs of it. At first, we had no plans of going abroad. However ,my mom received a call. After seeing her reaction, I knew it was bad news. Apparently, my Grandmother was very sick. She was fighting cancer. I was horrified by the bad news. My parents had a discussion and decided that we should visit her. I felt both sad and excited at the same time. Usually families would go to America for fun, joy and laughter. Sadly, my family would be visiting a sick relative... I really hoped she would be all right but having heard her conditions, i really doubted it. Despite this, my parents mentioned that we would have fun too. We would visit places like Disneyland, Waterworld, Legoland, Seaworld and more. I was glad to hear this. My parents took action immediately to ensure we would return before school starts. They used the computer to look for a suitable flight, but there were very few available. My parents managed to grab a flight to America from the China Airways. Although it would not be as comfortable as Singapore Airlines, it was cheap and easy. Besides, it was the only flight left that was suitable for us. The flight would take us to Shanghai first, then it would bring us to America. The flight time was 5 and 12 hours respectively. It would also return just before school starts.

The day of our flight came more quickly than I expected. We reached the airport a few hours before ur flight. "Its going to be a long wait" I thought to myself. However, before I knew it, I was already on the plane getting ready for takeoff. I buckled up and waited patiently. The take off was comfortable and smooth. After reaching a certain altitude, we were allowed to move about. The flight was going to take 5 hours. I hoped that I would get bored to death. There were no electronice games like the planes in Singapore Airlines, but there were televisions at the front that screened movies once in awhile.
After five long hours, we touched down and reached Shanghai. We had to wait an entire day before our flight to America was ready, so my parents booked a hotel to sleep overnight. We immediately went to our hotel room to see how it looked like. It was presentable and comfortable. The view was amazing. We could see the beauty of China from up there. After spending a night at the hotel, we checked out and headed to the airport for our flight to America. The procedure was similar and we were boarded quickly. The plane took off smoothly. I spent most of the 17 hours sleeping and doing my homework. Time passed by quickly and we landed before we knew it. We went though the immigration and we were greeted by my Aunt and Uncle.
After hugs and kisses, we decided to head to our Aunt's home to store the luggages there. Since America was a very big place, the journey took about 2 hours. After we reached the house and stored the luggage, we went to the hospital to visit Grandma. Upon reaching there, we saw many of her friends and relatives. They were belated to see us as and were astonished that we came all the way from Singapore. Since Grandma was in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), she could only hav three visitors at a time in order not to disturb her and the other patients. Me, my mom and my father went in first and had a few words with her. She was in bad condition. She was barely alive because the machine was pumping her heart. Without the machine, she would die. Tears rolled down my mom's cheeks. There was an awkward silence before my mom decided to say a few words to her. What we did not know was that it was the last time we would ever see her alive. After that, we left the hospital for lunch.
This experience has made me realise that family is important. This is because we are important and we need people who we can trust and count on. Our siblings are supporters. They care about what we think and feel. Nobody cares about us more than they do. Blood is always thicker than water. Families are not only for our pleasure or entertainment but for all aspects of life: for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do us apart. We need our family and our family needs us. When we help and support our families, we find ourselves supported too.

My Grandma

The flight would take us to Shanghai first, then it would bring us to America. The flight time was 5 and 12 hours respectively. It would also return just before school starts.
